Description

Simon, Sarah Lynn, Jenny and I tried some of my birthday chocolate. I have to say that this was indeed very tasty bitter, dark chocolate, despite these few pieces being wasted on drunken shenanigans.

Sarah Lynn · It was a bday present from Jenny to Remy - I believe she bought it at Trader Joe's.

mct · Tastes like a chair? Chocolate is too tricky lately

Remy · It was a little woody. But in a good way.
The darker the chocolate, the better in my opinion. This did not disappoint.

mct · You should try some of Adam's terrible chocolate. It's like, 99th percentile gross. Just super bitter and raw

Remy · I will try any chocolate offered to me.

mct · What if it's been in an advent calendar, forgotten in a Cost Plus storage closet since 1999? All brown and crumbly?

Remy · I strongly believe that I have eaten that at one time.

Also, weren't all advent calendars made at the same time and are just filtered out to stores around Christmas anyway? I don't think I've ever had fresh chocolate in one of those things. Maybe I just got the poor-kid advent calendar.

mct · That could be. Those calendars all have the same graphic-style to them too, like an old cartoon. I would love to hear that those calendars are produced by some monopolistic cabal in South Dakota or something.

Sarah Lynn · Funny, I read another review of this chocolate that mentioned that it was bland. Perhaps chair is drunk-speak for bland, makes sense to me.

Remy · I typically buy my chocolates from Berkeley Bowl, but this particular brand is from Trader Joe's.
