Kind of Eater
If I can catch it, i'll eat it

About Me

Father of three boys, Husband of one wife.  99.999% of the food my kids eat comes from what I or my wife make from scratch.  I don't loathe fast food or eating out, its just that it should be eaten like candy...not too much.  In this insane world, cooking is my therapy.  When I am in the kitchen, my soul is at bliss. I owned a pizzaria, sold it, way too much work.  I like cooking for fun, not work.I bake most of the bread we eat, kaiser rolls, french bread, white bread, my specialty is Filipino "pan de sal" (wifey is Pinay).Just started learning the wonders and blessings of gardening.  Watermelon, tomato, eggplant, onion, strawberry, pumpkin, garlic, squash (straighneck and zucchini)  these are the beautiful goodies grown so far...many more to come.  Theres just something mystical about growing and cooking your own food.  A valuable lesson for my chillin's!Definition of heaven: a place with a 24 hour buffet of cooked from scratch food, with a different theme/country/nationality changed daily.  Oh yeah, you can eat all you want and never gain an ounce!  Finally, I cook with lard, heavy cream, and butter, lots of it.  Wifey tries to come home with low fat milk...sorry, that doesn't work.  I won't cook or buy anything labeled "lite" or "low fat".  Hey, something has to be compromised and it is flavor.  Fry something in olive oil, then make the same thing in manteca; the difference in flavor is phenomenal.  Blessed be!p.s. I have a bunch of straighneck squash seeds.  If you like to plant them, email me and I will send you some seeds! (offer expires 12/30/08)
