Stubborn, creative, hungry. I eat, therefore I am. I have a thing for good coffee, although caffeine does nothing for me. I have a list of things the doctor says I'm not allowed to eat, so I'm always on the lookout for ways to redeem recipes that would otherwise be forbidden. When I met my husband, he courted me by skipping the movies and the roses and introducing me to diner food. Since then, when he wants to prove he loves me, out come the shrimp and fresh veggies. Three monkey-people children. Because they happily eat, and even request, things like spinach, we have friends who regularly check our basement for pod people. They're real kids, though -- I promise. I was there at the beginning. I write like most people eat -- regularly and easily. If I don't lay fingers to keyboard for a substantial amount of time at least once a day, I feel incomplete. I hope I never grow up. I've managed to avoid it for forty years; think I can do it for another forty? Tune in next time ...
