Chocolate 'Disaster'

Description

This was the end result of a Flourless Chocolate Cake attempt.  As I was removing the pan from the oven to check if it was done, the pan slipped out of my hand and landed, of course, upside down on the oven door.  Turns out it wasn't done yet as the uncooked center proceeded to oooze all over the hot door.  I scraped up what could be recovered and, at my wife's suggestion, served it anyway, topped with the ganache that should have adorned the finished cake.  By the way, this was the best tasting disaster I've produced in the kitchen.  If you want to know more, you can check out my blog on this 'disaster' at www.bakinginoregon.wordpress.com

dan · Yeah, cause it looks like one of those molten cakes, which blow me away every time i eat one.

You need to perfect the disaster recipe.

jessica · it looks great. i want one. but hopefully i won't have to scrape it off the oven door! that sounds rough.
