Minnie · I get my coffee beans at cole coffee (used to be royal coffee) over on college near rockridge. This week I got some Celebes Indonesian coffee beans that are pretty strong and yummy. I love cole coffee beans because they are roasted locally and are so shiny with coffee bean oil. fresh and delicious! When I see crappy starbucks beans... there just is no comparison
mct · Cole is great but that stuff is so strong sometimes that my stomach breaks.I get my coffee for free from my girlfriend (who spends money on it at the grocery store on my behalf, bless her) and from our friend Tony who works at a shop. Our office had some Ethiopian grounds for a while, which I enjoyed quite a bit. I always think Ethiopian coffee tastes like blueberries.
lara · Don't bless me!I am still enjoying some superb Timor Fair Trade coffee (brewed) that I bought at Hudson Bay Cafe this morning. When I make my own coffee, I like a variety. I often buy the Mountain Blend (?) by Safeway's house line O Organics. I think it's very tasty--not too roasty, very warm and a little fruitish. Plus, pretty reasonably priced. Don't know if it's Fair Trade, though.
abt · I keep going back to Blue Bottle to get coffee in the morning. I'm going to sound like a broken record, but it is extremely balanced and flavorful.I haven't taken the plunge on the $20,000 Japanese vacuum/halogen machine yet, but I'm planning on it some time this or next week.
Aimee · I think Cole might get their beans from McLaughlin Coffee Company in Emeryville. You can email small (single pound, ground or whole bean) orders to them directly and pick up at the roastery @64th&Hollis. Shaun@McLaughlin.com.In this part of the world, there is no reason for Starbucks.
dan · you sound like a broken record.
abt · Hey, to be honest, I haven't had it in like a week and a half. I've been drinking shitty coffee from a place around the corner instead.
Lnorigb · Kona from Kean is my morning joy. i'm so glad to have found a kona that isn't a blend. mhm.~
dan · I think I will try this one next.
One Sec...
