178 US Food Holidays? Why god why?

Posted by dan on 4-04-08 in dan's Blog with 8 Tiny
I was thinking the other day about how much I overeat on the holidays so I went around trying to figure out what food holidays we have here in the US.  To my surprise I found 178 of them and they don't even include the ones I was thinking about.

I could have broken this list down chronologically but that'd be boring, I decided to break it down by types of foods.  Who the hell makes these up and why do they exist?  btw, prepare yourself for September 14th, its "National Cream-filled Donut Day".  Donuts FTW!
